Spirituality can be a touchy topic. Known brands often do not affiliate their brand with religion for fear of disrupting their customer base. Connecticut native, Pierre wanted to make a change and make a brand that not only represented himself but also others. Introducing God Speak, a clothing brand that wants you to express your spirituality and make a fashion statement while doing it.
Established in 2019, founder and CEO of God Speak Pierre states, “I started the business to make a clothing line that I was proud to wear just for me and people alike.” Some might take offense but the brand is meant to spread peace and love and is more than just spirituality.

Importance of God Speak
Often brands usually attract those who have similar beliefs whether that be political or societal views of its owners or core values of the business. Sometimes these core values can be taken out of context or used against a business or brand. Take Chick-Fil-A for example, a fast food chain that is heavily influenced by the religious beliefs of its founder, who was a Southern Baptist, or Christianity.
The chain is closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas for obvious reasons. Now this can be a very positive view for Christians their customer base. It can feel like a safe place for those with the same beliefs as they feel welcomed to the chain’s locations for just their religious beliefs. “So, no wonder everyone cannot get enough of their chicken!” you say?
This can and has shown signs of negative response of some customers. One of the many controversial beliefs is their stance in opposition to same sex marriage. As this is common belief in Christianity. Although it is not explicitly said in the bible, it is open to interpretation to those who read it. When news spread of this it became controversial to some because a couple of the same sex may not feel comfortable supporting or associating themselves with the brand because it goes against their lifestyle. So, you can see how this can hurt a business-like God Speak.
But Pierre wants it to be more than the “word of god” and send a positive message to everyone if there are religious or not. He is confident that his actions and brand will look past the negative and attract anyone that simply like the brand for more than the message.
Giving Back
While pushing the boundaries of the brand Pierre want to make it clear that it is not a business that was made for profits and using religion as a marketing tool. From every purchase made from God Speak a portion of sales is given to local charities. “The clothing is meant to spread the message of peace and love but it is the responsibility of the brand and other to give back to those around you” Pierre said. He hopes after some more growth he can start community based projects funded by the brand itself.
What’s Next

When asked, what does the future look like for God Speak? His answer, “I hope to make this brand into more than just a business but a community of like minded individuals with the motivation of helping the world and its people to a much more loving attitudes towards each other regardless of an societal discrimination.”
Pierre continues to push boundaries to expand his brand and customer base and has a lot of creative ideas that are on its way. Since the establishment of the business he has developed original designs for more than just shirts and hats. Pierre has also designed watches, phone cases and other products to help GOD SPEAK.
